Winter 2005

We put our British travels on hold during the Winter season, due in part to our three-week trip to Canada over the holidays. According to our friends and neighbours, Nantwich received a soft blanket of snow on Christmas Day. Certainly we had our fill of the white stuff while in Canada, running into several snowstorms on our various road trips across Ontario and Quebec.

We knew before we left England that our Canadian holiday would be less than restful. After all, we would be sleeping in eight different locations, travelling on three planes, renting two cars, and hitting a total of five cities. But we didn't expect to encounter five snowstorms, each and every time we got into the car to move on to the next friend or relative on our visit list. We've no problem waiting till next year for our next glimpse of snow. Bring on the daffodils!
