March 2004
Primary Ballet Exam
Kassie was busy in February practising for her Imperial Ballet Primary Exam. She took the exam on the 29th and found out a few weeks later that she'd scored an A. She is very proud of her achievement. Here she is, pictured left, in her ballet gear, just minutes before the exam. (She wasn't one bit nervous. I can't say the same.)
Tatton Park
Barely open for the season, a mere two days, we visited nearby Tatton Park at the end of March. It's located close to Manchester airport in the town of Knutsford and offers four main attractions besides the 1000 acres of parkland: the gardens, mansion, Old Hall and farm. We spent our afternoon exploring the house and gardens. We plan to visit again in summer to fully appreciate the beauty of the Japanese Garden and to take a tour of the Tudor Old Hall, which promises to give a glimpse of life from medieval times through the Stuart and Victorian periods right up to the 1950s.
