End of 2003-2004

January-February 2004

Since our trip to Canada for the holidays (see below and pictures at left), and with many English Heritage and National Trust properties closed until March, we've done very little travelling in the area. Except for a brief trip to London to bid farewell to John about to embark on his annual ski trip to Banff, Kassie and I haven't ventured far.

We spent a day at the Victoria and Albert museum, which was fully prepared for spring half-term break with dozens of activities for kids. We went on a "backpack" trail (the antique detective), did the family "sculpture trail", managed a peek at Rossetti's The Day Dream upstairs, and even squeezed in the making of a paper doll with kimono inspired by the many on exhibit. Kassie was zonked by the time we arrived to Crewe rail station in the evening.

Holidays in Canada - December 2003

We focused our visit on just two spots this time, instead of driving halfway across both provinces of Quebec and Ontario. Check out a few choice pictures of our visit. Just click on the thumbnails for a larger version.
