Fall 2004
October was another busy month. We managed a single day trip to nearby Liverpool. We started with a walk around the waterfront shops at the rejuvenated Albert Dock before heading into the city proper. While the girls managed a bit of shopping, John and his father snapped some photos of the historic city's magnificent buildings and splendid architecture.
Also in October Kassie made her first visit to Blue Planet, Britain's largest aquarium, in nearby Ellesmere Port. We celebrated Half Term Break in Dubai, our first proper seaside holiday in years. Not only is the city packed with attractions – Wild Wadi water park (Kassie's favourite), the Gold Souk, and numerous shopping centres and restaurants – but there's always the desert if you fancy a bit of adventure. Kassie loved the wild ride over the sand dunes and our meal, Arabian style, in the middle of the desert under the stars.
