St. Augustine's
St. Augustine's Abbey in Canterbury was founded in AD 597 by... you guessed it...St. Augustine, marking the rebirth of Christianity in Southern England. It was originally created as a burial place for the Anglo-Saxons kings of Kent, and the museum contains numerous relics including a partial skeleton which Kassie visited several times.
The abbey is part of the Canterbury World Heritage Site and regrettably it's the only site we managed to visit in Canterbury. We look forward to a return visit to the city and particularly to the cathedral.
